Construction Firm Bankruptcy Suit
Celerity assisted outside counsel with defending claims against an insurance company brought by subcontractors to a small construction firm policyholder which went bankrupt.
Construction Firm Bankruptcy Suit Strategy
Using EnCase, Celerity forensically imaged seven computers and hard drives from the construction firm to ensure potentially relevant data was captured and preserved. To assist counsel with responding to data requests cost-effectively, Celerity advised keeping non-PST data within EnCase and performing relevance searches in this protected platform, while exporting PSTs to Microsoft Outlook to allow relevance searching on emails. Resulting emails and files were exported and provided to the client for further review and culling. One specific challenge with this effort was a Buffalo backup hard drive; it used a proprietary file system which required an additional level of parsing before it could be mounted in EnCase.
