Labor Law Violation Analysis

As part of our work related to a class-action employment matter concerning thousands of California farm workers, Celerity developed a process to data-enter information from approximately 300,000 hand-written time card records into an electronic database that could be used to determine the extent of several specific allegations related to the class, including the allegation that the state-mandated work limit of five work hours prior to a work break was widely violated.

Analysis Workflow Strategy

Celerity designed cost effective workflow processes utilizing validation techniques to maximize efficiency and accuracy.

Database Creation Results

In addition to developing the processes by which to create the necessary database and run the subsequent analyses, Celerity submitted a Declaration in United States District Court that demonstrated how the database and reports generated from the database could speak to the fundamental issues of the case, and thus aided our client in its effort to successfully certify the class.
